CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) – Cleveland City Schools will be closed today due to email threats sent overnight.

The emails sent to multiple schools late last night are being interpreted as threats.

Cleveland police are investigating the situation, but the schools intend to reopen with regular operations by Friday.

All extracurricular activities scheduled today are postponed.

Cleveland City Schools apologize for the late notice but take priority in the safety of their students and staff.
