Man arrested for Chickamauga bank robbery
CHICKAMAUGA, Ga. (WDEF) — A bank robbery occurred in Chickamauga, Georgia this week and police have now arrested the man responsible.
Chickamauga police officers identified the suspect as Ric Thomason.
According to officers, Thomason entered the Cadence Bank on Highway 27 around 3:30 on Tuesday. He gave bank tellers a note demanding money, and the tellers complied.
Chickamauga police arrived after Thomason left. They then issued a BOLO for Thomason’s vehicle.
A Catoosa County deputy later spotted a man and vehicle matching the BOLO. Authorities detained the man and determined he was the suspect in the bank robbery.
Officers then transported Thomason to the Walker County Jail.
