Mom to Mom – Ghost Throw Pillow

Today on Mom to Mom, we are creating cute little DIY ghost throw pillows. Let’s create our very own DIY ghost pillow. You know how you go to the stores, and you always see those cute little Halloween pillows? They can be a tad expensive. Well, this is fairly inexpensive, and you did it yourself. And the best part, there’s no sewing involved. So, what you’re going to need is some black felt paper or adhesive paper. Then you’re going to need some twine, and then of course, you can get some plain pillowcases at any craft store or on Amazon, I like to use a whole punch just so I can create the eyes to my little ghost. But let’s get started on how I make these pillows. So, what I do first is I take the twine, and there’s several ways you can do this.

You can kind of just pull a lot of string off and then you can just cut little pieces and then try to form them in ghost, or you can, I found it easy to kind of wrap around your finger several times and then cut along the way. So, you want to create about six strings is where I found the perfect amount to create your ghost. And then you’re going to just line them on your pillow wherever you want them and however many ghosts you want. And then you just keep putting the twine into each other until you have enough to where it forms a ghost. Then you’re going to take your fabric glue, which I forgot to mention that earlier, but you definitely want to make sure that you have fabric, glue, and then you’re going to glue these little guys down. That’s when you take your felt paper, and you use your whole punch to create the eyes.

Let this dry a little bit, and then you have the cutest little throw pillow for your couch. Now, I’m sure you’re asking, does this hold up with dogs? I’m not necessarily sure. I don’t let my dogs jump on the couch, but if you do let your dogs, maybe just be a little careful around them so it doesn’t fall apart. But otherwise, it’s a cute, fun little activity for you and your whole family. Hopefully you enjoy this. I added the boo just to add a little extra creativity to it, so you play with it however you like. If you have any wonderful ideas, please share it with us and we’ll see you on the next Mom to Mom.
