CHI Memorial announces Capital Campaign for Georgia hospital
RINGGOLD, Ga. (WDEF) – CHI Memorial is taking the next steps in creating a new hospital in Catoosa County.
“This event is actually announcing the public portion phase of our capital campaign for the new hospital in Georgia.” said CHI Memorial CEO Janelle Reilly.
As part of this campaign, CHI is working to raise $5 million to build this new hospital.
“What we are doing is building a new community hospital for this North Georgia region,” said Reilly. ” It is going to be a 64 bed hospital. It will have emergency services, ICU services, and surgical services.”
They say over half that goal has already been met.
“Through The Campaign so far we have raised almost $3 million already from about 60 residents from the community,” said Reilly. “Now we are opening it up to the whole public to also contribute to the campaign.”
The health system is now asking the community to help raise the remaining $2 million.
They hope to raise these funds by December of next year.
“This new hospital will bring manufacturing to this community. This new hospital will change Walker, Catoosa, and Dade counties. It changes everything about the counties,” said CHI Administrator, Angie Stiggins. “It opens the counties up for additional growth that is exploding in Catoosa, Walker and Dade County already. This hospital will help to facilitate that growth and help to facilitate the needs of health care in the community and keeping the community healthy.”
