Chattanooga Police investigating apartment shooting on Hixson Pike

UPDATE:

Chattanooga Police say the Hixson Pike shooting happened at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17.

They additionally said the victim of the shots fired was a 20-year-old man.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Police are investigating a shooting that happened overnight on Hixson Pike.

According to CPD, it happened in the 3800 block of Hixson Pike.

Police say one person was shot and has injuries that are not life-threatening.

Officers responded after receiving calls of shots fire at an apartment complex early Wednesday morning.

Later, they learned a victim had taken themself to the hospital with injuries.

Authorities currently think a dispute resulted in one person firing shots at another.

Officers did find shell casings on the scene when they arrived.

Police do not believe there are any other injuries or property damage.

However, CPD officers are still investigating.
