First responders extricate driver from truck in the woods

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Local first responders worked on an extrication Saturday night on I-75.

A truck ran off the road after 5 p.m. and ended up in the woods.

Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department, Chattanooga firefighters, and CFD’s Special Operations Division responded to the scene.

First responders worked on the extrication at mile marker 9.4 on I-75 S.

The scene was located between the Ooltewah and Volkswagen exit.

It was a joint effort by both departments to cut the driver out of the vehicle.

Hamilton County EMS transported the driver to a local hospital.
