Chattanooga woman dies in Catoosa County crash on Graysville Road
CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — Two vehicles crashed in Catoosa County on Monday, leaving one person dead.
According to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), the crash happened on Graysville Road, just north of Gentry Road, on October 30.
The two vehicles involved were a silver 2009 Chevrolet Impala and a black 2003 Dodge Ram truck.
The Chevrolet went off the road during a curve, overcorrected and struck the truck head-on, GSP said.
Authorities said both vehicles went off the road on the other side.
Once first responders arrived, they said the driver of the Chevrolet was unresponsive.
GSP identified the driver of the Chevrolet as 56-year-old Lisa Renee Headrick of Chattanooga. A 23-year-old Ringgold man was driving the Dodge truck.
First responders performed CPR on Headrick. However, they pronounced her dead on the scene.
The driver of the truck, Highfield, went to the hospital by a private vehicle with a possible broken wrist.
