Dade County under burn ban for next 30 days

TRENTON, Ga. (WDEF) — Dade County EMA has issued a burn ban for the next 30 days in the county.

The ban was put into effect immediately on Saturday by Dade County Executive Ted Rumley.

Earlier on Saturday, Dade County EMA reorted that fires in Dade and Walker counties were still actively burning and within their containment lines.

According to GFC PIO Anthony English, there may be visible smoke throughout the day.

Forestry crews are monitoring the areas.
