Irish Hoops Player Cole McCormick One of Three Notre Dame Athletes to Sign on National Signing Day

(press release) CHATTANOOGA, TN-  On Wednesday, November 8, three Notre Dame High School student-athletes made commitments to continue their athletic careers in college.  The fall college signing day event was held immediately after school so that most of the student body and faculty could attend. 

Cole McCormick will play basketball for John Shulman at the University of Alabama at Huntsville next season.  Coach Shulman previously was at the McCallie School and was the former Head Coach at UTC Chattanooga.  McCormick is a 1,000-point scorer at Notre Dame High School.  See his other accomplishments below.

Maggie Fillauer will continue her volleyball career at the Wingate University next fall.  She is just coming off an outstanding senior season leading the Lady Irish Volleyball team to both the District and Region Championships.  See her other accomplishments below.

Caimen Cothron will play beach volleyball at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga next year.  The beach volleyball team at UTC is a relatively new program, and she will be a solid addition to their team.  Cothron was a key player for the Lady Irish volleyball team this season and earned 2023 All-District team honors.
