Grundy County man charged with sexual exploitation of underage girl

MONTEAGLE, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Grundy County man was recently charged with sexual exploitation of an underage female.

TBI agents and Monteagle officers arrested 24-year-old Austin Tyler Olszewski on November 14.

On November 13, Monteagle detectives contacted the TBI about the distribution of child sexual abuse material on Snapchat. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children also provided a tip to assist in the investigation.

TBI agents said Olszewski made threats to post photos of a minor if she refused to send him more sexual abuse material. The TBI called this “sextortion.”

After arresting Olszewski, the TBI said authorities charged him with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means.

Officers booked him into the Grundy County Jail. They are holding him there without bond, according to the TBI.

The investigation is still ongoing.

The TBI asks anyone who had communication with Snapchat account “t_rexbaby21” to contact the TBI.
