Firefighters respond to downtown Blue Ridge structure fire
BLUE RIDGE, Ga. (WDEF) — Georgia firefighters were on the scene of a structure fire Saturday afternoon in Blue Ridge.
Fannin County EMA advised people to avoid the downtown area earlier in the afternoon.

Dispatch received the report of a fire at Danielle’s Cafe in downtown Blue Ridge a little after 1:30 p.m.
Fannin County units responded to the scene along with mutual aid from Union and Gilmer counties.
Firefighters have since contained the fire and were able to save three businesses and three homes that were directly exposed to the fire.
Law enforcement encourages the public to still avoid the affected area for safety.
