TBI: Jasper man charged with sexually exploiting child

JASPER, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Jasper man now faces charges of sexually exploiting a child, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

The TBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children Squad has arrested 38-year-old John Harley Dobbs.

Dobbs was already being held at the Marion County Jail on an unrelated charge. TBI agents served the arrest warrant on Tuesday, November 28.

They are charging Dobbs with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor.

The TBI started looking into Dobbs on November 21. They received information on Dobbs from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Agents found that Dobbs was in possession of child sexual abuse material.

The TBI added that they are unsure if there are additional victims in this case.
