Driving Our Economy Forward: Market Street Partners Day

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — There’s new life in the old TVFCU building downtown.

Several local companies have moved in, and renovated the 45,000-square-foot building.

Let’s see how Market Street Partners Day is driving our economy forward.

“What this building means to the area is an investment in downtown Chattanooga, an investment in the commercial building space, an investment in the community of Chattanooga, and the investment in, again, into the downtown area,” said Kevin Rose, SMITH+HOWARD. “The building primarily houses a lot of professional services businesses, but then also there’s a large real estate developer. So kind of a mixed bag. Got a very vibrant business community.”

“We’re really excited to be part of the downtown area,” said Mark Brock, Brock Insurance Agency. “We feel like it’s a great growth area for us. Our visibility will be heightened.”

“We have never been right downtown and it means that being a part of just the center of the city means so much,” said Ramsey Brock, Brock Insurance Agency. “We have added new employees, we have great kind of gathering spaces for our clients and just kind of giving back more to the city that we’ve been a part of for a really long time but have never really been here right in the center of it.”

“The building, obviously, it’s been totally redone,” Rose said.

“It’s bringing all of us together,” said Tammy Herrick, SMITH+HOWARD. “We used to be in two separate areas. We had an office on Market Street and then one on Broad Street. So we were split for several years and got to finally come together.”

“We’ve got a lot of shared space, a lot of open space,” Rose said. “I just want to say that we’re really excited about our prospects here. Like I said, the Chattanooga business community, the region in general, we feel like this is a great time to be here and we’re really excited about the community and what the future holds.”
