Dayton City School to be closed remainder of this week

DAYTON, Tenn. (WDEF) — Dayton City School will be closed for the remainder of this week, they announced on social media.

The school made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon.

School officials said the closure is due to high levels of sickness among students and staff.

This will start the school’s holiday break early.

They will return to school on Wednesday, January 3.

“Dayton City School will be closed on Thursday, December 14 and Friday, December 15 due to continued high numbers of staff and student illness. Enjoy an extended holiday break. Students return on January 3, 2024.”
