More Details on the Shooting Victim Who Is Now a Shooting Suspect

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Police report details O’Shae Smith’s thinking before Thursday’s shooting on East 12th Street.

Smith was shot, himself, two weeks ago on Rawlings Street.

But now he is the one charged with shooting teenager Kendre Allen.

Police say Smith is a validated member of the Gangster Disciples gang which is now at war with the Rolling 60’s and Rolling 40’s gang.

They say he told officers that he heard that Rolling 40’s crips were in his area.

His response was "F*** them, this is my hood."

And he told officers that if someone tried to hurt him, he would "Dow what he had to do."

Police say the shooting victim this time, 18 year old Kendre Allen is a member of the Rolling 40’s.

His injuries were not life threatening.

Allen is also awaiting court action next month on assault and theft charges.
