Country Stars Preview New Year’s Eve Bash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) — Country stars will be taking the stage to celebrate 2024 as part of CBS’ NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE’S BIG BASH this Sunday night.

News 12 will be in the Music City for the event.

Elle King and Entertainment Tonight’s Rachel Smith will be hosting again this year.

The star-studded event will feature dozens of performances, including from King, Lainey Wilson, Thomas Rhett, Lynyrd Skynrd, and even the Tennessee Valley’s Kane Brown.

“I’m doing a few songs,” said Elle King, co-host and performer. “Some of them are pre-taped, and then I’m doing some live. I’m not gonna lie. They don’t tell me everything because one, I personally do better with a little bit of an element of surprise and two, like, I will blow a secret, so I’m just rolling with it as long as I read the script, and then they shove me on stage. I’ll know what to do.”

“This is what you see here on New Year’s Eve, but this is happening here all year long,” said Blake Shelton, country artist and performer. “I mean, what’s happening in Nashville is amazing, and if you’ve been here, you know it. If you haven’t been here, you’re going to want to come here, and you’re going to want to come back.”
