New pet cancer center opening soon in Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A state-of-the-art-cancer center for pets in the U.S. is set to open very soon, right here in Chattanooga.
On January 12, the Veterinary Care and Specialty Group will unveil the new Pullen Cancer Center.
It’s a 27,000-square-foot treatment facility anchoring the new South Broad Street Development.
In the past, pet owners would have to travel to out-of-state hospitals, often with long wait lists.
Now they can visit one of the most advanced treatment centers anywhere without having to leave town.
“This type of machine is available all across the country for humans, but in terms of a veterinary facility, there are just a couple of private practices across the U.S. that actually have this outside an academic facility,” said oncologist Jason Stresberd.
The Veterinary Care and Specialty Group offers extensive 24/7 emergency care and specialty services with a team of more than 100 vets, specialist and technicians.
