Alabama man arrested on rape charges, sheriff says
FORT PAYNE, Ala. (WDEF) — A DeKalb County man is facing rape charges, according to the sheriff’s office.

Someone reported a sexual assault to the Collinsville Police Department, which then contacted DeKalb County authorities.
On December 29, they arrested Jose Elisama Francisco-Diego, a 21-year-old from Gadsden, Alabama.
The sheriff’s office charged him with first-degree rape.
They booked Francisco-Diego into the DeKalb County Detention Center, but later released him on bond.
Sheriff Nick Welden made this statement on the incident:
“The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office takes these types of cases very seriously. Citizens in DeKalb County and surrounding counties should know that crimes of this nature and others will not be tolerated in this county.
