Fire destroys condemned Hixson house

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A condemned house in Hixson was destroyed by a fire early Monday morning.

The fire occurred at 3 a.m. at a house on the 4700 block of Metro Park Lane, near Highway 153.

Multiple witnesses reported seeing flames coming from the duplex.

Chattanooga Fire Department arrived to find the house fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters said no one was in the house at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries.

The cause of fire is still under investigation.
