Community can provide input for Chattanooga’s future
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Plan Chattanooga is asking for the public’s input in the future of the city. The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Agency is conducting a survey this month so residents can share their thoughts and concerns.
This month’s survey is round two of the community input survey.
In December, Plan Chattanooga held a “Launch Survey,” with general questions. This “Choices Survey” asks more specific questions.
Some questions are aimed at parks and recreation around Hamilton County. Other questions ask about commercial development, housing and transportation.
Those who participate in all three parts of the survey will have a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card.
“If we want to manage what is coming in the future and make sure we keep, we still hang on to those inputs,” said Karen Hundt, Director of Community Planning for Regional Planning Agency. “We want to make sure some of the beautiful rural scenic areas that we have don’t end up with a traffic nightmare everywhere in the future.”

The deadline is January 15.
