Chattanooga Film Festival Begins

The red carpet has been rolled out and the stars are rolling in.
Chris Dorch is the Director of the Chattanooga Film Festival and says even though they’re only in their second year, people from around the country are already starting to take notice and attend.

"It’s nice to see that we’re slowly starting to puncture that Chattanooga bubble not that we don’t love Chattanooga but we want the entire world to know this is a great festival," Dorch said.

Elijah Wood, for example is in town for the festival to present a movie from his production company Spectrevision called A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night.

Tennessee’s Film Commissioner Bob Raines says he rarely sees festivals take off the way this one has.

"everybody wants to try to make things happen for their community I think in Chris’s case he really had the vision beforehand and he really had the passion to pull this off," said Raines.

   The festival continues until Sunday.
