First responders took him to a local hospital. On Wednesday, police said the man died from his injuries.

Authorities believe McReynolds was inside a car when he was shot. However, the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on the incident should contact the Homicide Tip Line at 423-643-5100.

C-Grimey shared his thoughts on the passing of Biggie Moe.

“For the whole hip hop community this is a tragic loss. This was one of our Chattanooga hip hop pioneers. He was one of the O.G’s, and a beautiful spirit. Somebody who was always positive, to mentor, to lend a hand, and be a supporter. He would support anyone. He was not divisive at all. He just wanted to show love.”

He added that Biggie Moe was always a light.

“A person outside of music? He was just a light. Always had a smile on his face, always energetic and loving, willing to share, willing to collaborate, and a true entertainer. If you knew Biggie Moe, Moe Moe Chatty, then you knew some of his music cause he was going to make sure he sang you a tune.”

According to C-Grimey, something has to change.

“I’m a proud supporter of the second amendment and I believe everybody should have the right to bare arms, but there has to be something we can do systematically and holistically to chill out on the gun violence.”
