East Ridge Has Permanent Drug Drop Off Box

Instead of waiting for those annual Drug Take Back events, East Ridge worked with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation..and with the Hamilton county Coalition to provide the Monday through Friday opportunity.
It’s designed to handle prescription and over-the-counter medications.

"…so that people can drop off medicine more than once or twice a year. Instead of throwing it in a garbage can or flushing it down the toilet which a lot of people do. And it ends up in our watershed…and you don’t want to have all those drugs contaminating your water."

The drop-box is on the lobby of the police station at 4214 Ringgold Road.
