Fire Alarm Causes Evacuation of Kindred Hospital

Chattanooga (WDEF) – Shortly after 10:30 this morning, fire crews were called to kindred hospital to investigate a fire alarm call.

When crews arrived, they discovered smoke in the building and ordered an immediate evacuation.

Multiple ambulances and fire fighters were called the scene to assist in the evacuation. Further investigation revealed that the smoke may have come from an air conditioning unit on the roof.

By 11:30, patients were being wheeled back Into the Building.

Fire officials tell news 12 that that moving every patient was major effort but hey had to air in the side of caution.
