Family Members Talk About Deadly Wreck that Killed a Dade County High Student

Dade County, GA (WDEF) – Family members of 17 year old Logan Dotson are on the crash scene where the Dade County High student died this morning.

They tell us that from what investigators tell them, they think he died on impact.

Dotson was driving his truck down Burkhalter Gap Road on the side of Lookout Mountain on the way to school.

It left the road near the bottom and hit a light post, then it went over a drop off and hit a tree.

The Sheriff tells us that his passenger underwent emergency surgery this morning at Erlanger with shoulder and rib injuries.

The wreck involving the two students happened just days before the Dade County High Prom.
