Chattanooga Police investigating East 48th Street homicide

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Police are investigating a homicide that happened Thursday night.

CPD responded to the scene of the shooting at 8 p.m., on the 700 block of East 48th Street.

Upon arrival, police say they found a person suffering from a gunshot wound.

First responders then took the victim to a hospital, where they pronounced him dead.

Homicide investigators are still working to determine what exactly happened.
