Man survives gunshot on Fifth Avenue, police say

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A person was shot on Fifth Avenue on Thursday, according to Chattanooga Police.

Officers arrived on scene to find a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. They say the injury was not life-threatening.

It happened on the 3600 block of Fifth Avenue.

Investigators are still trying to figure out the circumstances around the shooting.
