Signal Mountain woman wanted for series of thefts, police say

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn. (WDEF) — Signal Mountain police have made one arrest and are searching for another person in relation to a series of thefts on the mountain.

The police department says there have been several thefts at three different homes on Signal Mountain.

Authorities have now arrested Juan Alicea and charged him with theft of property and criminal conspiracy.

They say he sold stolen items on Facebook Marketplace.

However, they are still searching for Melissa Pruett.

Pruett has outstanding warrants for stealing those items and giving them to Alicea to sell, police said.

Authorities have recovered some of the stolen items, but not all of them.
