East Ridge firefighters respond to Popeye’s after employees noticed smoke

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF)- Employees at the East Ridge Popeye’s had a scare Tuesday afternoon.
According to East Ridge Police, they called 911 reporting a fire shortly before 3 p.m.
When firefighters arrived, they were able to determine an outdoor light fixture was emitting smoke.
A viewer saw firefighters using one of their engine ladders at one point and saw several first responders.
East Ridge firefighters remedied the issue and the restaurant was able to continue operating.
