SPLOST passes in Catoosa County
CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) – In addition to today’s presidential primaries in Georgia, voters in Catoosa County decided on whether or not to continue the 1% special purpose local option sales tax, or SPLOST.
Here is a look at your final results tonight.
More than 60% of voters voted yes and nearly 40% voted no. The SPLOST passed in Catoosa County on Tuesday night.
The SPLOST will collect up to $96 million over six years for projects.
Projects the tax has helped with in the past include air conditioning for three gyms, patrol vehicles and more.
