Tap in to a cutting edge technology that gives you more freedom
New Device controls computers, phones, smart devices and so much more
CHATTANOOGA, TN –
In every action and superhero movie there’s always a technology that lets you control cars, TV screens, phones and whatever else with some simple hand motions. Truth be told, we’ve all wanted that technology since we were kids.
Dovid Schick is the inventor of a new technology called Tap. The device you can wear on your wrist can control all your smart devices, and so much more!
“When you take it out of the box, it’s configured as a keyboard. It’s like a Bluetooth keyboard. If you pair it, you can immediately tap the alphabet. It has built in to it all of the punctuation you’re going to see on your keyboard, all the special keystrokes you’re going to see or something like that. So out of the box, it’s a keyboard” says Schick. “It also has a mouse function. When you hold your hand parallel to the ground it’s a keyboard. When you hold your hand like you’re shaking hands, it immediately turns in to a mouse. You can control a cursor and do clicks. This is just the tip of the iceberg of what all those mouse commands can do because those are also important gestures.”
The tap is programmable to any smart device. You can control your smart tv, your firestick, apple tv, and even your smart home devices with it. Tap is programmable for video game systems so in your Augmented or Virtual Reality you’d have a virtual keyboard and mouse, it’s usable in photography and graphic design to create easier and more efficient workflow. It’s small and sleek and no one would ever know that you have such a powerful device at your fingertips
According to our new friend Dovid, it’s also comfortable and easy to wear. “So we ship it with a cuff bracelet. It’s a really clever design and we ship it with a large and small. So you can just buy it and wear it right out of the box. The cuff bracelet is ideal cause you can easily wear it, it’s comfortable and you can wear it all day.”
Tap is also offering a version that will connect to any existing watch or band that you already wear.
“The other thing that I’d say is that it can multi-pair. So, you can pair it to many different devices. Let’s say you just want to use this for writing. A lot of people have come, especially younger people are not touch typists. So they can type, sometimes they can type really quickly but they need to use their eyes quite a bit while they’re doing this” says Dovid. “ What tap allows you to do is write without looking and it’s very fast and it’s really fun to learn. It only takes about 20 minutes to get thru the alphabet and if you forget a letter there’s a cheat sheet and within a couple of days you are flying. It’s a much faster learning curve than learning to touch type. Then you can input it to anything. Your computer, your phone, your watch, anything you want.”
According to Dovid and his team, we are really just scratching the surface of everything it can do. They sent us a device to test and as they said, we were up and running in about 20 minutes. We found the more devices we paired it to, the more seamlessly it integrated into everything we did.
