Chattanooga Ranks 4th Nationally for Starting a New Business

Chattanooga (WDEF) – WalletHub analyzes the best cities to start a business in the U.S.

And Chattanooga ranks fourth in the nation according to their analysis for 2015.

The personal finance social network looked at relative start-up opportunities for the top 150 cities in the country.

They used 13 metrics like the number of small businesses per capita and financing accessibility.

We bested all our neighboring cities.

7.  Memphis
15. Birmingham
20. Nashville
32. Knoxville
62. Charlotte
64. Huntsville

Shreveport, Louisiana ranked number 1 this year.

Chattanooga scored 2nd best in the nation in the "access to resources" category.

And we ranked better than average in several categories.
