Reggie White Blvd. shooting upgraded to homicide

UPDATE:

Chattanooga Police said they have upgraded this person shot call to a homicide case.

The victim in this incident has died from their injuries, which CPD said were life-threatening.

The investigation is ongoing.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A gunshot awoke members of the downtown Chattanooga community Friday morning.

One man was shot near the skate park in the 1700 block of Reggie White Blvd., just before 3 a.m.

When Chattanooga police officers arrived on the scene, they found a man with life-threatening injuries.

The victim was transported to a local hospital.

CFD and HCEMS also responded to the scene this morning.
