Mocs Davis Tull Ready For NFL Draft to Get Underway

Terrell Owens is the highest Mocs player ever taken in the NFL draft going in the third round back in ’96.
But will Davis Tull be able match TO’s achievement?
The former UTC defensive end has put up good numbers during his workouts, and now he’s just ready for the draft to get underway this evening.

Davis Tull says he’s not nervous awaiting the NFL draft.
Too bad his mom doesn’t feel the same way.
"She’s the one freaking out more than me I tell you what. She’s really excited about it. She’s always googling stuff about me. I have to tell her to chill out sometimes."
Momma should chill because her son has a trait coveted by every NFL team.
"My speed is my number one asset. I honestly feel like I’m the fastest linebacker in this draft class."
Besides speed, Tull believes he got the necessary training in college at UTC.
"Having a quality pass rush coach in Marcus West down in Chattanooga. He taught me all these techniques. I was able to hone them over four years instead of just playing for two years."
Now Tull is close to achieving a life long dream.
"It’s something I have dreamed about since I was little. I always thought I would be in this situation. I’m not surprised. I feel like it’s something that was my life’s plan. I would love to be drafted on Friday night. I hope I can be, but at the same time, I’m prepared for anything. With these things you never know. You hear people projected first, and they wind up in the seventh round. You really just have to stay calm and enjoy the process."
