Cleveland picks new Director of Schools
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Cleveland City School Board promoted from within to name their next Director of Schools on Monday.
They appointed Dr. Jeff Elliott who is currently the Chief of Staff for the system.
Dr. Elliott has worked for Cleveland Schools for 30 years, including teacher, principal and central office administrator.
“I am thrilled and humbled to have the opportunity to serve our incredible students, staff, and families in this new capacity. Cleveland is a remarkable community, and I am eager to embark on this journey with them. Thank you to the Cleveland City Board of Education for the support, the best is yet to come for Cleveland City Schools,” Elliott said.
He replaces Dr. Russell Dyer who took the job leading Collierville schools earlier this year.
