Boeing Makes Belly Landing In Istanbul

A Boeing cargo plane had to land on its belly after the landing gear failed. The FedEx Airlines’ Boeing 763 landed in Istanbul on Wednesday without any supporting front wheels, causing sparks to fly. Fortunately, the cabin crew was unharmed. The incident is now under investigation. So far, no reason for the landing gear failure has been given. Boeing says it is coordinating with investigation authorities and would “provide additional information as it is available.” (NY Post)
