Ohio Man Plans To Take Submersible To Ocean Depths

Ohio investor Larry Connor aims to take a two-person submersible down to the depths of the ocean to prove that the trip can be done safely. Connor is working with Patrick Lahey of Triton Submarines. They aim to show that such explorations can be done successfully following the devastating implosion of the OceanGate submersible last year. “I want to show people worldwide that while the ocean is extremely powerful, it can be wonderful and enjoyable and really kind of life-changing if you go about it the right way,” Connor said. The pair aim to dive 4,000 meters in a two-person craft. It’s unclear when the journey will take place. (Yahoo! News)
