A video of marathon runner Luciana Grandi Lourenção attempting to cross the finish line in first place as her children try to hug her has gone viral, and Lourenção has put out a video response. Many viewers online questioned the husband’s choice to have her kids meet her before the finish line, while others wondered why the mother kept running and didn’t stop to hug her kids. Lourenção seems to have no ill-will toward her husband Pedro for meeting her before the finish line. “There was no way he could have known that the second competitor was very close to me,” she explained in Portuguese on Instagram.
