Chattanooga Fitness Expo Goes Down Saturday
Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) The Fitness Expo takes place in Chattanooga tomorrow evening and the bodybuilding competition is a local event for locals.
News 12s rippling sports reporter Brian Armstrong finds out how Chattanoogans are committing to see who is best of the best.
Said promoter Shawn Whitfield:”Bodybuilding and fitness at its best.”
The Chattanooga Fitness Expo is a bodybuilding competition comprised mostly of Chattanoogans.
Said Whitfield:”95 percent or more of the people that compete in this competition are all Chattanooga people.”
Whitfield says the competition started four years ago almost by accident.
Said Whitfield:”It was at the Tivoli, but then the pandemic cancelled it. And now it’s a ballroom style event at the Embassy Suites.
We have several categories for Mr and Miss Chattanooga. So this has become a tradition of the show, the best of the best. So out of all of those categories coming together, that one person who just stands out over all the rest.
