CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A woman escaped her burning home Monday morning as smoke spread throughout the neighborhood.

Chattanooga firefighters arrived at the scene of the fire on Rockway Drive just before 8:20 a.m.

The fire set off near the back of the home before spreading to the front.

Firefighters extinguished the flames before it spread further.

Thankfully, no one was hurt.

The Red Cross will be assisting the woman who was displaced due to the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
