Mom to Mom – Three Ingredient Ice Cream
Today on Mom to Mom, we’re putting a high-protein dessert that went viral to the test! The dessert is supposed to be three ingredients, and the main one is cottage cheese. Now, I’m not a huge cottage cheese fan, so I’m a little skeptical. But why not give this a shot?
We’re going to need some fresh strawberries. You’re going to need cottage cheese, the full fat kind, so make sure that you grab that. Then you’re going to need maple syrup. And then I grabbed some graham crackers because it’s supposed to taste like cheesecake. So let’s start making this.
We’re going to throw a half a cup of fresh, chopped strawberries into our blender, as well as a cup of cottage cheese into the blender, and then two tablespoons of maple syrup. Now, we’re going to blend that until it’s nice and creamy and smooth. Then you’re going to put that mixture into a freezer tight container. I just like to use the cottage cheese container because it’s empty and it’s great to use. So what I do is I’m going to layer this. I’m going to put a little bit of our mixture ice cream, and then a couple of our strawberries that we left out, then some graham crackers in there, mix it up really well, and then freeze it for about two to four hours. Keep it out for about 20 minutes to room temperature, and we’ll give this a try.
So let’s see how good it tastes. You actually don’t taste the cottage cheese in there, which I’m surprised because I don’t like it. It is very rich and creamy. You have a nice low fat ice cream.
