Tennessee Aquarium celebrates Pollinator Week
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Tennessee Aquarium is celebrating Pollinator Week.
Butterflies, ants and even hummingbirds are considered to be pollinators.
As a part of this week, the aquarium is offering a variety of different activities for guests.
Guests can also pick up free wildflowers for the pollinators.
“We really just wanted to point out these amazing animals that a lot of people don’t realize are pollinators, like bats. Things that maybe people are not too sure about don’t like so much, just reminding them of their importance in the world,” said Sydney Fye, Engagement Educator at the Tennessee Aquarium.
Tennessee Aquarium’s IMAX theater will be showing Flight of the Butterflies during Pollinator Week.
Pollinator week will continue until Sunday, and all are welcome to join in the celebration at the aquarium.
