Activists Spray Stonehenge With Orange Paint
Activists supporting the group Just Stop Oil sprayed the historic Stonehenge site with an orange paint powder on Wednesday. The group demands that the next U.K. government commit to phasing out fossil fuels by 2030. Wiltshire Police arrested two people “on suspicion of damaging the ancient monument.” A spokesperson for Just Stop Oil said that supporters in multiple countries would “join in resistance this summer, if their own Governments do not take meaningful action.” (AOL)
