Man shot on Ocoee Street Saturday, Chattanooga Police say

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A person was shot on Ocoee Street over the weekend, according to Chattanooga Police.

The police department said on June 29 at around 8 p.m., they received a call of a person shot outside on the 2600 block of Ocoee Street.

The victim left the scene as officers were arriving, CPD explained. The victim then arrived at a local hospital in a personal vehicle.

Chattanooga Police said the victim was a 35-year-old man who received injuries that were not life-threatening.

CPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting.

The victim nor the suspect has been identified.
