Chattanooga Lookouts Owner Believes New Stadium Will Be Among the Best in the Minors

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) The Chattanooga Lookouts broke ground on their new stadium on Monday.
The team hopes their new South Broad venue will be open for the 2026 season.

Lookouts owner Jason Freier believes the new place should be one of the nicest stadiums in the minors.

Said Freier:”We have been part of more than half a dozen stadium projects. We’ve actually built two for our own teams. Our ballpark in Fort Wayne, Indiana was named the number one ballpark experience in the country something like 12 out of the last 15 years. This will be multiple steps above that. Part of that is just what we’ve learned over the years and how we can do better than we did. But part of it is also just these historic buildings. Folks at Perimeter Properties had the foresight and the patience to save some amazing historic structures. That will allow us to create a really unique ballpark and to respect the history of what’s here on the site.”
