Bradley Central Must Replace Several Talented Players

Cleveland, TN-(WDEF-TV) Bradley Central nearly went the distance last year.
The Bears made it to the semi-final round of the state playoffs.
But for Bradley Central to enjoy another fantastic season this year, they’ll have to count on a lot of new players.
Brian Armstrong went in the Bears den for this 30-in-30 preview.

Said head coach Damon Floyd:”We’ve got a lot of guys that don’t have a lot of experience. Guys that kind of waited their turn. It’s no secret we had some guys with talent leave.”
Bradley Central made a deep run in the playoffs last year, but also lost multiple D-one athletes, including Tito Williams and Boo Carter.
Said Floyd:”We’re not going to replace them. Be silly to think we are going to replace guys like that. Talented and very quality guys that were great teammates. Had a lot of success. All these new guys have to do is be them. It’s our job as coaches to put them in a situation where they can reach their potential. Guys have kind of waited their time. Like I said they’re eager to play. They’ve got something to prove, and hopefully they continue to play with a chip on their shoulder.:”
Said team captain Marcus Goree:”We know everybody is trying to come after us. Feel like we have a chip on our shoulder.”
Another player who graduated was quarterback Kaleb Martin. So Tyler Cook is now under center.
Said Floyd:”He’s a big time baseball prospect. Has a really good arm. He’ll be different from what we had last year in Kaleb Martin, but he bring

s some things that Kaleb didn’t bring. We’re excited.”
Said Goree:”I’ve worked with him in practice since last year, so we’ve got a good relationship now that he’s my starting quarterback”
And with a young team, Bradley Central is still searching for that position of strength.”
Said Floyd:”We’re still trying to find that out. That’s what we are practicing for. That’s what the 7-on-7 is for. To find out what our strength as a team is.”
Said Goree:”Starts in the weight room and locker room. Building trust. That’s one of our main core values.”
