HCSO investigating threat made by Brown Middle School student

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A student at Brown Middle School made a threat in a classroom that raised concerns.

At 12:30 p.m., August 14, 2024, a male student made a statement in class that he wanted to “blow up the school.”

The School’s Resource Deputy responded to the classroom and made contact with the student.

The student admitted to making the threat and was taken to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.

He is charged with Threat of Mass Violence.
