Survivor announces this seasons castaways, one lives in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Survivor has revealed the 18 new castaways that will compete in its 47th season, and one contestant is from Nashville.

Sam Phalen is one of 18 contestants this season.

Phalen resides in Nashville, where he works as a Tennessee Titans beat reporter for A to Z Sports.

Sam and the other 17 castaways are competing for the ‘Sole Survivor’ title, and a $1 million prize.

Contestants are required to complete a series of unexpected obstacles while also forming a new society and adapting to their surroundings.

Survivor’s 47th season premieres Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
