The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) posted on Facebook that there was never any danger on or near the campus.

SCSO also said in the post that the threat stated was dated for Friday, September 13, 2024.

The threat has since been evaluated and SCSO wants everyone to be aware that it has been taken care of.

There will be added SCSO and Dunlap Police presence at the school to ensure the safety of all students and faculty.

“The safety of our children, as well as the staff who care for them in our schools, has always been and will continue to be top priority for us as well as our law enforcement partners.  Any threat of harm will always be taken seriously regardless of the intent of the person making the threat. We also are grateful for the wonderful staff within our school system who work so diligently to help us ensure the safety of our children,” said Sequatchie County Sheriff Bill Phillips.
