City Council employment agreement with Police Chief John Chambers

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Various members of the community came together for Chattanooga’s weekly City Council Meeting. 

As many important topics were discussed, one important event that happened within the meeting was the members of the Council voted to execute an official employment agreement with Police Chief John Chambers.

Police Chief Chambers was originally appointed September 17th and has been awaiting the official executing of the term to begin.

“A motion on the floor to approve our new police chief… a motion does carry. Sounds like we have a new Police Chief” Chip Henderson, City Council District One Chairman.

John Chambers is to be the new Chattanooga Police Chief after more than 25 years with the department.

The city of Chattanooga is now anticipating the official swear in for Police Chief John Chambers on October 11th from 1pm to 4pm at Walker Theater
